The University Psychological Counseling Unit held a scientific seminar entitled “World Human Rights Day” on Tuesday, 23 December 2025, as part of its programs aimed at enhancing students’ cultural and legal awareness.
The seminar was delivered by Prof. Dr. Akram Ubaid Al-Alwani, who addressed the fundamental concepts of human rights and their significance in building societies. He emphasized the intrinsic value of the human being as the cornerstone of genuine development, and the necessity of investing in minds, knowledge, and the development of intellectual capacities rather than focusing on superficial appearances. He noted that such an approach has a direct impact on achieving sustainable progress and on consolidating the principles of justice and human dignity within society and the university environment.
